I had given this as a birthday gift and they loved it! It's very cute while it is hanging-out in the tea cup soaking the tea leaves inside of it. It's a cute idea for someone who enjoys a nice cup of tea with some biscuits. I had bought this for someone in my family who enjoys drinking hot tea. They thought it was a cute little tea guy. The packaging wasn't anything special. It came in a box with a picture of this little guy on the front cover of the box. I wish I had taken a picture of it, but I forgot to. I wrapped it up all ready to go. The tea leaves don't come out of the little guy's pants so that's great! Makes great tea! I paid a pretty good price for it.

You can fit almost a full tablespoon of your favorite tea in the bottom half. No worries, as the top half is open for the excess. But you should never need that much space. Holes are pencil point-sized, rather large (it's rubber, not like a fine steel mesh), so any of your smaller teas will be an issue. Thankfully, my favorites are all larger in caliber and my new buddy holds them perfectly.

With his pants forward, he looks like he's chillin' in your cup of tea, with his pants backwards, he looks like an old grandpa trying to walk. Hilarious, either way. I had to buy 2 because mine kept getting stolen. I recommend tracing his face with a Sharpie so you can enjoy the full benefit of his happiness. For added bonus, super-glue some googly-eyes on him.

Works well, although the holes are a little larger than I'd prefer - the finer tea leaves do wind up in your beverage (roughage, as my grandmother would say). It's easy to use and the flexible material means that I can pour from the tablespoon/teaspoon without losing tea everywhere. On top of that, it can go just about anywhere in the dishwasher without a problem.

 Honestly, performance-wise it's no worse or better than a regular tea strainer... BUT it makes my wife smile because it's a cute little product. That is worth way more than anything else I can say. Not only do I get brownie points for making my wife a cup of tea, but she thinks thinks the little guy on the edge of the mug is funny. Happy wife, happy life. Words to live by.
