This pack is comfortable to wear and has a lot of capacity: small water bottle, compact binoculars, some first aid items, and my phone all fit in it, with room for more. The green is more like olive green than forest green; the color of the webbing and fabric match. The loop area is big enough for a 2"x3" patch I bought for it. The bottom part of the strap - the part with the D-clip - folds over itself to secure the clip. The edge of the strap, however, it's hard/sealed like you might expect and mine began to fray. I tried to seal it but did not have success with: FrayCheck, Krazy Glue, Aleene's Tacky Glue, and a gel super glue. The only thing that worked was, of course, E6000. So, use that to put a layer along the edge, and it won't fray.

 Great little pack, I'm very pleased with it.

First, let's start out that this is a $15 sling backpack; If you harbor unrealistic expectations of what $15 buys you these days, you've been living under a rock for quite some time. Yes, it's made in China. Yes it's only made from 600D instead of 1000D. Yes it's a smallish sling pack. But this is all accurately listed on the product page. None of this stuff should be a surprise to anyone.

Now that we have all that out of the way, my initial thoughts about this pack are should I have bought two at this price?! Seriously, there are a good amount of pockets and compartments. There is versatility between using the strap or buttoning it up and just using it as a bag. There's MOLLE elastic in the front and on the sides. Would I use this bag for military deployments? Hell no. Is it great for all those little things you need to carry around with you in the car just in case? Hell yes. Just don't stuff this thing to the gills and throw it around like you're doing kettle bell exercises and expect it to last.

 Calling this a "backpack" is probably a bit of an overstatement -- it's really something I consider more of an accessory satchel / bag to keep the things you really care about around you when you need them. As a HAM radio guy, this makes a perfect pack for a portable mobile base, connectors, cords, and a 1290 battery. You'd even have enough room for a handheld and a spare battery as well.

 If you understand the value of what this is, you're probably going to want two of them for the price.
